Role Overview: PSD Engineer

The PSD Engineer supports the PSD Manager in prioritizing workloads based on operational and safety demands, aligning with business needs. This full-time role involves assisting maintenance teams in troubleshooting complex issues and ensuring asset maintenance adheres to quality standards. The engineer will ensure assets are safe, reliable, and compliant, developing solutions with guidance from experienced peers and superiors. The position requires compliance with metro standards, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and adherence to safety and quality requirements throughout the asset lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide oversight for asset maintenance, maintenance planning, asset strategy, predictive, and condition-based maintenance for discipline-specific systems (PSD).
• Execute maintenance and repair activities of relevant equipment according to work plans and maintenance manuals.
• Ensure quality standards are upheld during all maintenance activities.
• Support hiring, training, and assessment of team staff, managing ongoing personnel training and development efforts.
• Assist the PSD Senior Engineer and technical directorate superiors with Root Cause Analysis & Incident Reporting for faults, failures, and incidents.
• Support the PSD Senior Engineer and the technical team in the creation, review, modification, and approval of maintenance documentation, design drawings, and documents.
• Execute and/or supervise complex maintenance activities performed by internal teams or sub-contractors.
• Ensure team safety, adherence to all safety processes, and correct use of tooling. Create and distribute safety/quality briefs and toolbox talks to supervisors.
• Support maintenance teams in troubleshooting complex issues and ensure asset maintenance is conducted according to quality standards, reviewing CMMS logs and attachments for good practices.
• Review change management processes to prevent operational impact.
• Deputize for the PSD Senior Engineer or Head of Transit Systems and provide support for requested tasks.

Procurement Support

This position also supports procurement teams by providing technical analysis and justification for RFQs, developing Bills of Materials, and contributing to tender input and clarifications. The role involves exploring alternative equipment manufacturers to support localization targets in Saudi Arabia, with a focus on improving quality and reducing costs.

Required Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in a similar role. The position is based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
