General Pediatrician

About the Role

Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH) is seeking a General Pediatrician to join its team in Al-Ahsa. This full-time role involves providing specialized clinical services for the diagnosis and management of pediatric disorders and the prevention of childhood diseases for JHAH patients.

Role Context and Reporting

The General Pediatrician is a staff member of the Mother and Child Health Institute. This position provides clinical care and consultative services to both inpatients and outpatients with pediatric disorders or those requiring preventative care. The role reports to the Unit Head of General Pediatrics or Pediatric Hospitalists, and the Chair of the Women and Child Health Institute.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered care and consultations to inpatients and outpatients within the area of expertise.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in accordance with high standards of care and within delineated privileges approved by the JHAH Credentialing and Privileging Committee.
• Complete all medical documentation and reports in a timely and professional manner.
• Develop collegial relationships and collaborate with other physicians, nurses, allied health providers, and administrators across JHAH departments and districts.
• Actively participate as a member of multi-disciplinary teams and contribute as a team player.
• Share in on-call responsibilities based on operational needs.
• Respond to emergency requests for assistance from emergency rooms at all JHAH facilities.
• Actively participate in monthly Unit, Division, Department, and Hospital staff, clinical, education, and research meetings.
• Contribute to the educational activities of the Division by attending Grand Rounds and Journal Clubs, and foster the education or professional development of trainees or other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary, interdepartmental, and performance and quality improvement activities, including committee service within JHAH.
• Promptly respond to all JHAH queries regarding medical documentation, coding, patient concerns, or risk management.
• Participate in the development and implementation of administrative policies, medical practice procedures, clinical guidelines, and standard operating procedures.

Required Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in general pediatrics.

Interactions

This role involves daily contact with patients, family members, staff, nurses, allied health professionals, administrators, and physicians.
