About the Role

Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH) is seeking an experienced Emergency Nurse 2 to join our dedicated team in Al-Ahsa. This full-time position involves providing direct patient care within an assigned emergency nursing unit, working under moderate supervision to ensure the delivery of efficient and effective nursing services.

Role Purpose and Context

The Emergency Nurse 2 is integral to implementing comprehensive nursing processes, focusing on patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols. This role requires close collaboration with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care and contribute to the continuous improvement of nursing practices within the emergency department.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care services, including patient management, within the assigned emergency unit.
• Assist in routine clinical tasks, ensuring patient safety is maintained throughout all processes.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians and clinicians to support smooth operations within the unit.
• Monitor patient progress and report any concerns promptly to senior staff.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care from admission through discharge, tailored to the patient's age.
• Provide patient and family education consistent with the plan of care and patient needs, respecting privacy, dignity, personal preference, and culture.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergency and lifesaving situations, applying clinical skills, critical thinking, and evidence-based practices to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Perform a wide range of nursing procedures in emergency facilities with attention to accuracy, patient safety, and comfort, while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at improving nursing practices within the assigned unit.
• Participate in the development of protocols and processes to enhance patient safety and operational efficiency.
• Precept new hires and trainees during their probation training period, providing recommendations regarding their progress and training needs.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for the Emergency Nurse 2 position must demonstrate a solid foundation in nursing practice within an emergency care setting. Key requirements include:

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Ability to work effectively under moderate supervision while maintaining high standards of care.
• Commitment to achieving and maintaining the mandated activities for Level 2 as outlined in the Clinical Advancement Program, requiring a minimum total of 15 points in at least three categories within each 12-month cycle.
