About the Role

Maaden is seeking a Superintendent Mechanical Phos to join its team in Turaif, Al Qasim. This full-time position is central to ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations within MWSPC Maintenance. The Superintendent will lead the execution of all mechanical maintenance activities, including preventive, corrective, predictive, and emergency work, while driving adherence to operational needs, engineering standards, and EHSS requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute preventive, corrective, predictive, and emergency mechanical maintenance activities to support safe and reliable plant operations.
• Prioritize maintenance work assignments and monitor crew activities to ensure timely completion and optimal resource utilization.
• Coordinate closely with Maintenance and Production teams to align planned maintenance priorities with operational requirements.
• Maintain readiness of resources, systems, procedures, equipment, and spare parts for both scheduled work and emergencies.
• Plan and organize human and equipment resources to achieve departmental objectives, contributing to service agreements with customers and contractors.
• Validate engineering and maintenance data, drawings, and documentation received from project contractors and vendors.
• Direct emergency repairs and critical inspections, ensuring all completed work is properly documented.
• Maintain company physical assets, including vehicles, machinery, and tools, in reliable operating condition.
• Provide input to annual maintenance and capital spares planning budgets, and support the development of maintenance KPIs.

Reliability and Continuous Improvement

• Conduct routine plant and project site inspections to monitor progress and equipment condition.
• Investigate identified and potential mechanical issues, implementing approved cost-effective solutions.
• Lead root cause analysis for repeated major failures to enhance reliability and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems and recommend practical solutions to minimize operational disruption.
• Support the development and implementation of mechanical maintenance reliability programs and procedures, including identifying critical spare parts and specialized tools.

Leadership and Team Development

• Lead multicultural maintenance teams by setting objectives, managing performance, and motivating employees.
• Develop, guide, and cross-train teams to build versatile technical capability.
• Identify training requirements for technicians and engineers, organizing on-the-job training programs.
• Mentor new and existing maintenance personnel on work controls, maintenance processes, and technical execution.
• Support the recruitment of experienced and competent maintenance engineers and technicians.

Health, Safety, and Environment

• Promote and enforce a Safety First culture across all mechanical maintenance activities.
• Implement operational EHSS Management System requirements throughout maintenance work.
• Brief and train mechanical personnel and contractors on MWSPC EHSS regulations and compliance expectations.
• Participate in emergency response, command activities, and accident/incident investigations, supporting the implementation of safety actions.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for the Superintendent Mechanical Phos role should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance within a plant operations environment. The role requires a strong understanding of maintenance planning, execution, reliability programs, and EHSS standards.
