Security Operations Consultant

About the Role

Hays is seeking a Security Operations Consultant for a contract position based in Al Khobar, Eastern Region. This role involves contributing to security operations within an enterprise environment, with an initial contract duration of one year, extendable based on project needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Onboarding and integrating solutions into Managed Detection & Response (MDR) or SOC-as-a-Service platforms.
• Performing cyber security analysis and contributing to security operations.
• Working within Security Operations Center (SOC) and/or Network Operations Center (NOC) environments.
• Supporting Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) / Cyber Incident Response Team (CIRT) functions.
• Conducting network intrusion detection, incident handling, response, and recovery operations.
• Utilizing security monitoring and SIEM technologies for threat detection.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in cyber security analysis and security operations.
• Demonstrated experience in onboarding and integrating solutions into MDR or SOC-as-a-Service platforms.
• Hands-on experience within a Security Operations Center (SOC) and/or Network Operations Center (NOC) environment.
• Experience working with CERT/CIRT functions.
• Strong knowledge of network security management and operations.
• Proven experience in network intrusion detection, incident handling, response, and recovery operations.
• Familiarity with the Protect, Defend, Respond, and Sustain security methodology.
• Hands-on experience with security monitoring and SIEM technologies such as Splunk, ArcSight, SourceFire/SNORT, NetScout, and other enterprise monitoring and threat detection platforms.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Strong background in incident response and threat monitoring.
• Experience in enterprise SOC environments.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to investigate, contain, and respond to security incidents effectively.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise security operations.

This is a contract position located in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, focusing on security operations within a dynamic enterprise setting.
