Almarai is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to join its team in Al-Kharj or Riyadh. This full-time role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience and focuses on leading the engineering and maintenance function within an Infant Nutrition manufacturing facility.

Role Purpose and Leadership Focus

The Senior Engineering Manager will be responsible for ensuring optimal plant reliability, operational efficiency, safety compliance, and asset performance within a highly automated manufacturing environment. The role involves driving continuous improvement initiatives and providing strategic leadership across key engineering functions to support world-class infant nutrition production standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing preventative maintenance programs.
• Managing engineering projects from conception to completion.
• Planning and managing CAPEX (Capital Expenditure).
• Controlling departmental budgets.
• Developing and mentoring engineering teams.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a recognized university or institution.
• Minimum of 10 years of hands-on engineering and maintenance experience within food, dairy, beverage, or infant nutrition manufacturing.
• At least 5 years in a similar leadership position within an Infant Nutrition manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience with leading infant nutrition manufacturers or equivalent organizations.

Required Technical Expertise

• Extensive experience in Preventive Maintenance (PPM) implementation, engineering operations, and asset reliability management.
• Strong experience in Spray Drying plant operations and maintenance.
• Experience maintaining Can Filling, Sachet Filling, Ready-to-Drink (RTD), and Ready-to-Feed (RTF) production equipment.
• Hands-on knowledge of packaging systems including Tetra Pak, GEA Can Fillers, and Rovema packaging equipment.
• Knowledge of automated manufacturing equipment, utilities, and engineering control systems.
• Experience with engineering project commissioning, plant start-ups, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Continuous Improvement, and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Ability to maintain compliance with quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements.

Work Location

This full-time position is based in either Al-Kharj or Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
