About Penspen and the Senior Scheduling/Planning Engineer Role

We are currently seeking a Senior Scheduling/Planning Engineer to join our team in Al Khafji, Eastern Region, for a full-time position.

Role Overview and Project Involvement

This role is accountable for the management of the project controls team deployed on various projects, providing essential project control support to the Project Management team. The Senior Scheduling/Planning Engineer will play a critical part in ensuring project timelines and resources are effectively managed. A key responsibility involves the review of early-stage deliverables (FEL1 and FEL2), specifically concerning cost, schedule, and risk, as produced by the KJO front-end development department.

Primary Duties

• Manage and oversee the project controls team across various projects.
• Provide comprehensive project control support to the Project Management team.
• Conduct reviews of early-stage deliverables (FEL1 and FEL2) focusing on cost, schedule, and risk.
• Contribute to planning, scheduling, cost estimation, and budget control activities.
• Track and monitor procurement, and forecast engineering and construction activities for major oil and gas projects.

Required Experience and Technical Skills

• A minimum of fourteen (14) years of experience, with at least ten (10) years directly involved in project management, planning, scheduling, cost estimation, cost and budget control, procurement tracking, and monitoring/forecasting of engineering and construction activities for major oil and gas projects.
• Preferable PMC experience in a similar role for several years.
• Working knowledge of various contracting types and strategies related to project execution.
• Prior experience in schedule and cost benchmarking of oil and gas upstream projects.
• Computer literate with proficiency in all MS Packages, particularly Word and Excel.
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 package.

Educational Background

• An engineering, construction, or project management degree is required.
