Aircraft Dispatcher

About the Role

Aloula Aviation is seeking a dedicated Aircraft Dispatcher to join our team in Dammam, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves performing and supervising flight dispatch activities to support company flights from Aloula Aviation bases. The Aircraft Dispatcher will be responsible for the comprehensive planning, scheduling, dispatch, and flight following for all company flights during their shift, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to regulations.

Core Flight Planning and Coordination

• Plan and coordinate flights based on user requests, considering load requirements, routing, and required ground handling.
• Schedule flights with the appropriate aircraft type and configuration, determining required fuel and available cabin load.
• Ensure flight crews are notified, legally compliant to fly, and arrange for their transport to the airport.
• Verify that the scheduled aircraft is released by maintenance, fuel uplift is completed, the cabin is configured properly, positioned at the appropriate spot on the ramp, and catering has been requested.
• Prepare flight plans and load records for crew briefings.
• Confirm and record compliance with Civil Aviation/Military clearance requirements.
• Collect and review essential weather and NOTAM information, adjusting schedules as necessary.

Flight Dispatch and Monitoring

• Provide crew briefings and dispatch flights.
• Review with the Pilot in Command: scheduled times, routings, load plan, weather, NOTAMs, flight plan, and arrival point ground handling.
• Perform flight watch and flight following duties.
• Operate air/ground radios and Aviation Data Terminals.
• Respond to emergency telephone systems and update and maintain contact records.
• Understand and practice privileged information, policies, and procedures.

Post-Flight Actions and Readiness

• Perform post-flight actions, consisting of reviewing actual versus scheduled routing and ensuring passenger and cargo requirements were satisfied.
• Reschedule any unfinished flight requirements if necessary.
• Ensure the maintenance status of the aircraft will not affect the next scheduled departure.
• Verify flight crew legality for next day operations, confirm ground transportation availability, advise crew of any recent changes in assignments, and submit all required documents and reports pertaining to the flight.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this full-time position should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience and meet the following requirements:

• Diploma in a relevant field.
• Valid Dispatcher GACA License.

Professional Development and Compliance

The Aircraft Dispatcher will compile records and reports, including shift log books and daily reports for management, and collect and file flight records. This role also involves participation in the Department TQM Program, performing other duties as assigned by the Supervisor, and providing tutoring and training as established in the Job Training Standard. Maintaining emergency and safety efficiency, including familiarization with the Unit Emergency Reaction Guide and participation in emergency desk exercises, is required, alongside performing specific duties as contained in the Area Operations Procedures Guide.
