About the Role

HCLTech is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Province. This full-time role focuses on applying software engineering skills to build, maintain, support, and optimize mission-critical, cloud-native systems and applications for CDI/MCS products, specifically On-Demand Connectivity (ODC) and eUICC IoT Manager (eIM).

Role Overview

The DevOps Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of ODC & eIM solutions. This position requires a commitment to system ownership, from development to operational support, within a dynamic cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and automate infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles.
Maintain robust CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitLab.
Install, configure, and manage Kubernetes-based solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Take ownership of production systems with a "you build it, you run it" mindset.
Manage real-time system monitoring, observability, and incident response to meet strict SLA commitments.
Act as a technical bridge between development, validation, and customers.
Provide operational support through 24/7 onsite shifts and participate in high-impact Change Advisory Board (CAB) reviews.
Prepare technical documentation, customer acceptance plans, and operational readiness reviews.
Contribute to team growth through knowledge sharing, technical training, and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

2-5 years of experience in a relevant DevOps or software engineering role.
Demonstrated experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles.
Proficiency in managing CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitLab.
Experience with Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Understanding of system monitoring, observability, and incident response protocols.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, requiring onsite presence. The role involves working in 24/7 onsite shifts to ensure continuous operational support for critical systems.
