Maintenance Senior Engineer

About the Role

Alkhorayef Petroleum Company is seeking a Maintenance Senior Engineer to join their team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time role requires 2-5 years of experience and focuses on ensuring the reliability and operational continuity of production machinery and facility infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive, predictive, corrective, and routine maintenance on production machinery, utilities, electrical systems, automation equipment, and facility infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, PLC, HMI, instrumentation, hydraulic, pneumatic, servo, and electromechanical systems to minimize downtime.
• Perform root-cause analysis of equipment failures and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
• Replace faulty components and carry out lubrication, alignment, adjustment, calibration, and functional testing to restore assets.
• Develop and continuously improve maintenance strategies to enhance asset reliability, availability, performance, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Ensure equipment reliability by calibrating maintenance tools, optimizing spare-parts requirements, monitoring critical-stock shortages, and standardizing components.
• Maintain accurate work orders, equipment histories, preventive-maintenance schedules, downtime records, and spare-parts usage in Oracle Fusion CMMS/ERP.
• Support the installation, commissioning, testing, and handover of new equipment, electrical systems, and automation solutions.
• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and industrial control systems to improve process stability and productivity.
• Implement condition monitoring, Industrial IoT, smart-maintenance, ERP/MES integration, and Industry initiatives for data-driven maintenance decisions.
• Monitor equipment performance, maintenance KPIs, alarms, downtime trends, and energy consumption to identify risks and improve OEE.
• Support CAPEX projects through technical evaluations, design reviews, FAT/SAT, installation, commissioning, and project handover.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, IT, and suppliers to resolve technical issues, standardize documentation, and deliver continuous engineering improvements.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in a relevant maintenance engineering role.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair complex industrial systems.
• Experience with CMMS/ERP systems, preferably Oracle Fusion.
• Knowledge of Industry initiatives and smart maintenance practices is beneficial.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, requiring active participation in maintaining and improving operational systems within a production environment. The role involves collaboration with various internal departments and external suppliers.
