Senior Electrical Technician

About the Role

Saudi Paper Group is seeking a Senior Electrical Technician to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time role involves ensuring the optimal functionality and safety of electrical systems and equipment throughout the plant. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect all electrical parts and equipment within the plant, reporting abnormalities and generating notifications as required.
• Plan the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with job specifications and local codes.
• Test electrical systems and circuit continuity using devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety.
• Identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair in electrical systems, equipment, and components, ensuring compliance with codes.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other electrical components.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to pinpoint and correct breakdowns.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using appropriate tools.
• Report any abnormalities observed in equipment during preventive maintenance work orders and generate notifications accordingly.
• Provide emergency assistance by operating floodlights and generators, placing flares, and driving necessary vehicles.
• Execute all assigned activities using safe and environmentally friendly methods.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in an electrical technician role.
• Demonstrated ability to perform electrical inspections, installations, and maintenance.
• Proficiency in using electrical testing devices and hand tools.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety regulations.
