About the Role: Fleet and Safety Coordinator

Transafe Logistics LLC, a division of Mazrui International - Trading Division, is seeking a Fleet and Safety Coordinator for heavy-duty trucks. This full-time position is based in Dammam, Eastern Region, Saudi Arabia, and is open to Saudi Nationals. The role focuses on the efficient scheduling of deliveries, proper routing of trucks, and monitoring and reporting of the fleet management system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain vehicles for deliveries and schedule regular maintenance to ensure operational efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Develop efficient driver schedules and manage drivers to ensure adherence to strict schedules.
  • Register and license all vehicles under management, following country laws and regulations.
  • Implement strategies for greater fuel efficiency and identify ways to optimize costs and maximize profits.
  • Maintain detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspections.
  • Monitor driver behavior, utilize GPS systems for tracking, and ensure a high level of customer service.
  • Take telephone orders and other information related to product delivery, updating and monitoring driver locations.
  • Prepare and send daily and weekly reports.
  • Guide drivers for offloading at ports and assist with necessary documentation.
  • Manage the registration process for trucks/trailers and follow up with government authorities.
  • Schedule repairs and maintenance for trucks and other company equipment.
  • Assist in scheduled inventories, set up, and maintain all driver files.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and recommendations on lease extensions.
  • Maintain technical and computer skills for effective use of distribution and office software.
  • Support QHSE management, ensure achievement of QRTS Objectives, and undertake EPR programs for drivers.
  • Participate in mock drills, trainings related to RTS, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Receive and check Purchase Requisitions (PR), transfer them into Purchase Orders (PO), and manage cancellations and amendments to POs.
  • Organize and maintain computerized records for the Fleet Management System (FMS) and carry out system administration tasks for Oracle and FMS.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the transport manager.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in fleet management of heavy-duty trucks carrying hazardous materials within KSA and cross-border transportation.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in the transportation industry.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, within a logistics team specializing in hazardous materials transportation.
