About the Role

Napco National is seeking a dedicated HSSE Officer to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time position is open to Saudi Nationals only and requires 5-10 years of experience in Health, Safety, Security, and Environment roles. The HSSE Officer will be responsible for ensuring a safe and hygienic work environment across all company premises, implementing safety protocols, and responding to emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct periodical safety rounds across company premises to maintain a safe atmosphere and conditions.
Ensure plant and warehouse safety and hygienic conditions are maintained, reporting any deviations.
Verify that plant-related employees wear appropriate overalls/clothing and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Check the safe operation and condition of machinery in the production area.
Ensure firefighting equipment is in perfect condition through periodical maintenance and refilling.
Maintain necessary documentation for daily, weekly, and monthly HSE inspection activities.
Monitor hot works to ensure they are carried out with due permission and under safe conditions.
Coordinate with security guards regarding visitor movements, entry, and exit tracking.
Conduct Safety & First Aid on-the-job training for new recruits when required.
Participate in evacuation drills and ensure clear access to fire extinguishers and hose cabinets.
Implement fire preventive measures as needed, particularly during summer.
Monitor drainage/canal conditions and coordinate pest control activities.
Monitor the condition of facility rooftops, walls, light shadows, and electrical panels.
Ensure the availability and maintenance of first-aid equipment accessories.
Provide first aid activities in case of accidents.
Follow up on the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety Policies, programs, and procedures.
Increase health and safety awareness at all organizational levels.
Investigate and report all serious/critical personal injury accidents involving staff, visitors, or contractors.
Investigate accidents/incidents resulting in substantial damage to company properties.
Respond to employees' safety concerns and immediately address fires and other emergency situations.
Coordinate the registration and removal of hazardous waste.
Coordinate personnel training in safety testing areas, including first aid, CPR, accident prevention and investigation, and workplace inspections.
Assist executive staff, senior administrators, principals, supervisors, and the HSE team leader in emergency situations.
Conduct operational risk assessments on site and design risk mitigation measures.
Generate and maintain all required reports related to the HSE management system, including corrective and preventive actions.
Provide HSE improvement proposals detailing non-conformance, proposed corrective actions, required resources, and implementation plans.

Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Health, Safety, Security, and Environment roles.
Demonstrated ability to implement and monitor safety protocols and procedures.
Strong understanding of occupational health and safety policies.
Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, within a dynamic industrial setting. The role involves regular rounds across various company premises, including plants and warehouses, and requires active participation in maintaining a safe environment.
