Job Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Finance, or related fields is required, along with a preferred professional certification in cost management (*, Certified Cost Professional).
Experience:
Must have 10+ years of experience in cost management within the design or construction industry, primarily on large landscape projects, and familiarity with cost estimating tools.

- Cost Review and Analysis: Collaborate with external consultants to review financial documents related to projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Budget Management: Work with project managers to establish and monitor project budgets, providing updates on financial status.
- Cost Control: Implement cost control measures and address any overruns, proposing corrective actions as needed.
- Change Management: Assess impacts of project scope changes on costs and work with design teams on cost estimates.
- Value Engineering: Optimize costs while maintaining quality through value engineering initiatives.
- Tendering for Construction: Integrate cost requirements into tender documents and evaluate contractor proposals.
- Ad Hoc Project Cost Management: Manage costs for unique client-directed projects, developing accurate budgets.
- Reporting and Documentation: Generate detailed cost reports for stakeholders highlighting key metrics.
- Cost Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments on project costs and develop mitigation strategies.
