About the Role

Schneider Electric is seeking an AI Datacenter infrastructure Project Technical Head for its HUMAIN Program. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires a seasoned professional to lead complex technical integrated solutions within the datacenter infrastructure domain.

Program Leadership and Technical Vision

The Project Technical Head will serve as the primary technical leader for the HUMAIN Program, acting as the single point of contact for all technical project topics with the customer. This role involves leading all technical packages, including Electrical, Mechanical, and digital teams’ scopes, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, on-time, and optimized technical solutions while mastering the technical risks of the overall solution designed and delivered.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and understand customer technical drivers and criteria, leveraging Schneider Electric's portfolio to meet expectations.
• Stay updated on the latest technical evolutions of equipment and systems from Schneider Electric Lines of Business to benefit future customer solutions.
• Ensure customer technical requirements from project RFQs are considered, identify deviations, and proactively recommend technical solutions or enhancements.
• Lead design activities for new or enhanced solutions, aiming for standardization across regions to drive efficiencies and ensure compliance with SE technical governance principles.
• Build complete technical design packages for approved solutions to facilitate knowledge transfer across countries and regions.
• Lead the transfer of knowledge for customer-approved solutions to SE engineering teams for future deployment.
• Ensure consistent application of standardized solutions in every tender, coordinating all technical aspects of complex integrated projects.
• Lead and approve basic and detailed designs for all technical aspects of integrated solutions, aligning with customer requirements and technical performance.
• Monitor technical costs and manage the budget for the technical components of projects.
• Oversee all technical implementation activities from factories or supplier premises and testing facilities through to project closure.

Stakeholder Engagement and Technical Coordination

• Work closely with customers to clarify technical needs and participate in the negotiation of technical parts.
• Act as the technical referent during tender and execution phases, leading a technical team and ensuring coordination among all project stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and other technical designers and engineers responsible for parts of the technical scope.
• Identify needs for specific expertise support and coordinate expert actions as required.
• Lead and coordinate all technical aspects of sub-contracted project parts in strong coordination with the procurement team.
• Ensure effective communication of technical decisions and strategy to the project team.
• Lead technical strategy in alignment with the customer, making decisions that ensure project interest and customer satisfaction.

Risk Management and Quality Assurance

• Master the technical risks and opportunities of the project, conducting change management and negotiating implications for Schneider Electric.
• Work with Project Managers and Execution Technical Leaders to specify changes and evaluate their cost impact, leading to variation orders.
• Follow up on any substantial issues that could affect project performance or customer satisfaction.
• Drive standardization of technical solutions and processes across accounts to ensure consistent customer support.
• Ensure full compliance with Schneider Electric processes (CPP & TDP), quality instructions, safety requirements, and governance principles.
• Lead the technical team to correct any technical deviations or quality issues during project execution.

Experience, Professional Development, and Closing

Candidates for this role should possess a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. The role also involves active participation in the Technical Leaders' Community of Practice, identifying and sharing lessons learned and best practices. The Technical Head will act as a role model and coach for junior technical engineers and designers, staying connected with Lines of Business to remain updated on technical evolutions.
