About the Role

Four Points by Sheraton, a brand within the Marriott International portfolio, is seeking a Purchasing Agent to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is suitable for candidates with 0-1 year of experience, offering an opportunity to contribute to a brand committed to providing guests with an uncomplicated and friendly experience.

Core Duties and Inventory Management

The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for managing inventory, processing orders, and ensuring the accurate receipt of goods. Key duties include:

• Calculating figures for food inventories, orders, and costs.
• Maintaining clear and organized records to ensure all reports and invoices are filed and stored properly.
• Posting invoices using computer programs.
• Conducting inventory audits to determine inventory levels and needs.
• Completing requisition forms for inventory and supplies.
• Notifying manager/supervisor of low stock levels and monitoring PAR levels for all food items.
• Verifying and tracking received inventory and completing inventory reports and logs.
• Reconciling shipping invoices and receiving reports to ensure count accuracy.
• Receiving, unloading, and processing deliveries.
• Refusing acceptance of damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items.
• Troubleshooting vendor delivery issues and overseeing the return process.
• Adhering to food safety and handling policies and procedures across all food-related areas.

Operational Responsibilities and Professional Conduct

This role also involves upholding company standards and contributing to a safe and professional work environment. Responsibilities include:

• Reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management; completing safety training and certifications.
• Following all company policies and procedures; ensuring uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information; protecting company assets.
• Speaking with others using clear and professional language; preparing and reviewing written documents accurately and completely; answering telephones using appropriate etiquette.
• Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with others; supporting the team to reach common goals; listening and responding appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
• Complying with quality assurance expectations and standards.
• Reading and visually verifying information in a variety of formats (*, small print).
• Visually inspecting tools, equipment, or machines (*, to identify defects).
• Entering and locating work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems.

Physical Requirements

The position requires the ability to perform various physical tasks, including:

• Standing, sitting, or walking for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
• Moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pull, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Moving through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Moving over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
• Reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Performing other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for the Purchasing Agent position should meet the following criteria:

• High school diploma or *** equivalent.
