Since 1998, Havelock One Interiors has established itself as a leading turnkey fit-out service provider across the Middle East. The company specializes in interior contracting and the manufacturing of bespoke joinery, metalworks, and sophisticated shop fittings. As a result of strategic expansion in the key growth market of Saudi Arabia, Havelock One Interiors is seeking experienced leaders to drive its business forward. The KSA office is located in Riyadh, with projects spanning across the country.

The Role: Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for cultivating relationships with new clients and enhancing engagement with existing ones. This full-time role involves understanding client development strategies and aspirations to strategically position Havelock’s capabilities as a partner in future projects. A key aspect of this position is establishing a robust network with work providers, including designers and consultants, to develop a pipeline of new business. Strategic importance is placed on expanding commercial office fit-out opportunities across all operational sectors. This requires a thorough knowledge of the market, the company's solutions and services, and its competitive advantages, alongside strategic planning for future development and an established relationship network.

Key Responsibilities

Prospect for potential new clients to generate increased business opportunities.
Oversee marketing strategy and communications, new market investigation, and account strategy.
Research and build relationships with new clients and identify new projects in selective sectors.
Utilize internal and external tools to compile a project opportunity pipeline and establish action plans based on agreed targets.
Collaborate with the projects team to develop proposals tailored to client needs, concerns, and objectives.
Arrange and participate in meetings between client decision-makers and company Directors/Principals.
Address objections by clarifying points, emphasizing agreements, and resolving differences to achieve positive outcomes.
Employ various communication styles to persuade or negotiate effectively.
Present a professional image that aligns with client expectations.
Build and enhance new client relationships, and arrange/participate in internal and external client debriefs.
Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, providing feedback on market and creative trends.
Research and develop a thorough understanding of the company’s people and capabilities, and understand the company’s goals to enhance performance.

Required Qualifications and Experience

5-10 years of relevant experience in business development within the fit-out market.
Effective communication and influencing skills when dealing with senior levels of client organizations and decision-makers.
Proven ability in creating and delivering business development strategies.
Demonstrated track record of achieving growth targets.
Knowledge of estimating services, including value engineering.
Gravitas and a charismatic personality to establish rapport with key influencers and diverse groups of professionals.
Proven track record of influential networking within the KSA market with relevant clients.
Expertise in developing business sectors within a challenging and competitive fit-out market in KSA.
Ability to work across the organization and lead initiatives to successful completion.
