The Operational Technology Security Practice

This position is within Accenture's Operational Technology Security practice, which focuses on safeguarding the industrial systems, networks, and infrastructure essential for critical operations. As the convergence of IT and OT environments continues, this team operates at one of the most complex and consequential frontiers in cybersecurity today.

Key Responsibilities

• Support OT security assessments across industrial environments, including ICS, SCADA, and DCS systems.
• Assist in identifying vulnerabilities and security gaps across operational technology networks and assets.
• Contribute to the development of OT-specific security frameworks, policies, and risk documentation.
• Help map and assess the convergence of IT and OT environments, identifying exposure points and mitigation opportunities.
• Work alongside experienced OT security specialists on client engagements across critical infrastructure sectors, including energy, utilities, and manufacturing.

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in the last year of a Bachelor's program in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of industrial systems, networking protocols, or control system environments.
• Possess an analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and the ability to work methodically in complex environments.
• A clear communicator, capable of documenting technical findings and contributing to team discussions.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Familiarity with OT/ICS security frameworks such as IEC 62443 or NIST SP 800-82.
• Exposure to industrial protocols, including Modbus, DNP3, or OPC.
• Relevant coursework or self-study in industrial cybersecurity, network security, or critical infrastructure protection.
• An interest in pursuing certifications such as CompTIA Security+, GICSP, or ISA/IEC 62443.
