About the Role

Mohammed Mansour Al-Rumaih (MMR KSA) is seeking an Environmental Health Safety Specialist to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This part-time role is crucial for developing and maintaining the company's health and safety management system, ensuring compliance, and fostering a strong safety culture across all operations.

Role Overview

The Environmental Health Safety Specialist is responsible for establishing and implementing comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures. This involves ensuring proper integration of processes, conducting regular inspections, and overseeing the timely implementation of corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment and uphold regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company's Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Management System.
• Ensure that Health, Safety, and Environment Standards are consistently maintained.
• Implement safe systems of work and promote safe behavioral practices at all organizational levels.
• Provide HSE guidance and support operational processes to continuously improve safety culture and performance.
• Develop, implement, and enhance HSE management systems, processes, and procedures in accordance with ISO 9001, 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 22301, and OSHAD – SF.
• Communicate information on the HSE Management System throughout the organization and promote HSE awareness through various channels, including TBT, safety inductions, training, campaigns, discussions, and emails, in consultation with relevant departments.
• Prepare HSE documentation for clients and projects as per requirements, in consultation with the MDS SP Site/Operations team.
• Undertake HSE inspections internally and with third parties (contractors) according to the company's approved inspection program.
• Follow up on preventive and/or corrective actions identified during inspections and monitor timely implementation in coordination with other departments.
• Develop, facilitate, and review HSE risk assessments for routine and non-routine activities in consultation with the Site/Operations team.
• Develop, implement, and encourage a behavioral-based safety culture through safe job observations and top management inspections.
• Meet all specific HSE responsibilities as outlined by the approved HSE SOPs.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in environmental health and safety roles.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement comprehensive health and safety management systems.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001, 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 22301, and OSHAD – SF standards.
• Proficiency in conducting HSE inspections and risk assessments.

Work Environment

This is a part-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring active engagement with various departments and external parties to ensure robust HSE practices.
