The Role of HSE Supervisor

The HSE Supervisor is responsible for preventing property loss and environmental damage during project execution. This full-time position is based in Riyadh and involves reviewing method statements for safety, establishing site HSE programs, identifying and mitigating hazards, and promoting safety awareness. The role requires 5-10 years of experience, and the salary will be disclosed during the hiring process.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily project HSE operations in line with company policies, procedures, and budget.
• Assist in fulfilling accountabilities for all HSE activities within the project.
• Contribute to updating the HSE deliverables schedule based on identified project risks and mitigation plans.
• Help maintain the company’s safety certifications.
• Promote a safety culture across all company divisions.
• Ensure HSE policies are implemented to minimize hazards.
• Support compliance with HSE legislation, regulations, rules, standards, and requirements.
• Assist in establishing an effective system for investigating, reporting, and estimating costs of injuries or damages.
• Provide input to management on the effectiveness of HSE program implementation.
• Support leading major incident and accident investigations within the project.
• Assist in the planning, budgeting, and delivery of corporate training.
• Coordinate with divisions to identify and address major issues, including client concerns.
• Support Personnel and Admin in reporting safety incidents.
• Assist in coordinating periodic HSE audits.
• Support the development of the company’s expertise, know-how, controls, and capabilities in safety.
• Conduct HSE orientation for new project employees.
• Lead Safety toolbox meetings, HSE awareness sessions, and training.
• Conduct site emergency drills.
• Review material safety data sheets.
• Ensure regular inspections are conducted to identify potential hazards.
• Prepare and implement traffic plans at the site.
• Conduct HSE auditing within the project.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in an HSE role.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Experience in conducting safety training and awareness sessions.
• Proficiency in reviewing safety documentation and conducting site inspections.
