Interior Design Section Head

About the Role

REEF Group is seeking an Interior Design Section Head to lead and oversee architectural and interior design activities for the company's retail branches and commercial locations. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves developing design standards, reviewing design outputs, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure designs align with brand identity, operational requirements, and expansion plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architectural and interior design activities for retail branches and commercial locations.
• Develop and maintain design standards, technical guidelines, and branch design manuals.
• Review architectural and interior design concepts, layouts, and drawings for new branches, renovations, and development projects.
• Ensure designs balance visual appeal, operational efficiency, customer experience, and effective space utilization.
• Oversee the design of store façades, internal spaces, product display areas, lighting, furniture, finishes, and decorative elements.
• Review technical drawings and design documentation to ensure compliance with approved specifications and standards.
• Coordinate with Real Estate and Leasing teams to assess new locations and define design requirements.
• Coordinate with Projects, Construction, contractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure accurate execution of approved designs.
• Review and approve design submissions from consultants and external partners within assigned authority.
• Oversee the selection of materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and fixtures while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.
• Monitor design progress across projects and ensure compliance with agreed timelines.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Operations, and Visual Merchandising teams to ensure designs support product presentation and customer experience.
• Lead improvement initiatives for existing branches to enhance space utilization and operational efficiency.
• Support the preparation and review of design budgets and recommend value-engineering solutions when needed.
• Ensure design solutions comply with relevant safety, accessibility, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare periodic reports on design projects, progress, costs, challenges, and recommendations.
• Lead and support the Design team, distribute responsibilities, review outputs, and develop team capabilities.

Qualifications and Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in retail and commercial design.
• Demonstrated ability to lead design activities and manage multiple projects.
• Proficiency in reviewing technical outputs and ensuring consistent implementation of design standards.
• Strong understanding of brand identity, operational requirements, and commercial objectives in design.
