About the Ru'aa Cloud Solution Architect Intern Program

Microsoft is offering a full-time Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) Intern position as part of its Ru'aa Program in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This opportunity is designed for early-in-profession Saudi Nationals with 0-1 years of experience, aiming to accelerate employability and market impact. The program is scheduled to commence in January 2027.

Program Structure and Benefits

The Ru'aa Program is a paid, six-month training initiative that provides globally recognized technical and professional certifications and skills. Participants will receive comprehensive on-the-job training, including mentoring, coaching, job shadowing, and real-life scenario assignments. The full-time program is structured into two distinct phases.

Phase 1: Onboarding and Skilling Bootcamp (1 Month)

• Introduction to Microsoft's mission, culture, strategy, and organizational structure.
• Technical skilling focused on obtaining globally recognized Microsoft technical certifications.
• Professional and soft skilling courses covering project management, change management, effective interpersonal skills, creativity and innovation, and time management.

Phase 2: On-the-Job Training (5 Months)

• Joining as a Cloud Solution Architect Intern for practical job shadowing and training.
• Participation in dedicated mentorship and coaching sessions.
• Supporting Microsoft teams in various digital transformation projects.
• Advanced technology trainings, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, and Cloud Computing.

Intern Responsibilities

As a Cloud Solution Architect Intern, key responsibilities will include:

• Applying foundational technical knowledge of architecture solutions to meet business and IT requirements and resolve identified technical constraints.
• Acting as the voice of the customer/partner by identifying and sharing feedback on technical capabilities, gaps, blockers, and insights with internal teams through established channels.
• Soliciting input to contribute to proposals for viable solutions based on specific technical products.
• Demonstrating basic technical concepts and proving design solution capability through design collaboration sessions with customers/partners.
• Supporting research projects and contributing to scoping surveys for customers/partners to assess potential intellectual property needs or process changes.
• Participating in external architect community events (*, conferences, seminars, technical meetups, webcasts, blogs, hackathons) and sharing learnings internally.
• Engaging in discussions around architecture design, resiliency reviews, and technical optimization to support production deployment applications and increase customer business value.
• Ensuring the customer's environment and applications are well-architected.
