The Role: Commercial Manager Fit Out

Mace is seeking a Commercial Manager Fit Out to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading integrated teams throughout various phases of a major mixed-use development, which includes sports facilities, entertainment venues, arts complexes, and associated infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the preparation and execution of contract documents, warranties, bonds, and licenses, providing contract administration advice throughout project delivery.
• Measure, value, and agree upon completed work and contract variations, ensuring compliance with contract terms and accurate financial management.
• Maintain effective cost control procedures, oversee contract financial reporting, and present monthly post-contract cost reports to clients.
• Identify and assess cost impacts arising from design changes, contract awards, construction activities, client instructions, and project developments.
• Evaluate and negotiate contractor and subcontractor claims related to delays, variations, and additional costs, providing commercial recommendations.
• Advise on practical completion, defects rectification, final completion certification, and negotiate and agree final accounts.
• Lead, manage, and develop Cost Consultants, Managers, and professional teams through coaching, performance management, continuous improvement, and transformational change initiatives.
• Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships, influence senior decision-makers, and support net zero carbon objectives through proactive management of carbon emissions and reduction opportunities.

Required Qualifications

• A degree in quantity surveying or cost management, or an equivalent qualification.
• Professional membership or active progression towards a professional qualification such as MRICS/RICS, or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.

Experience Profile

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of extensive experience in fit out and interior finishes. This includes proven experience in delivering large-scale fit out packages from procurement through to project close-out within sectors such as hospitality, premium residential, entertainment, sports venues, or general commercial developments.

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires professionals to lead integrated teams within a dynamic project environment.
