IT Audit Manager

About the Role

The Water Transmission Company (شركة نقل المياه) is seeking an IT Audit Manager to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of the internal IT audit program, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement across departments. The role requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Job Purpose and Scope

The IT Audit Manager guides the internal IT audit program, secures necessary resources, and ensures the implementation and execution of the internal audit plan. This includes following up on internal audit reporting for each department to issue related improvement action plans. The role also involves developing IT Audit policies, procedures, and controls, aligning them with the company's strategic objectives, and managing the IT Audit budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and continuously improve IT Audit policies, procedures, and controls.
• Formulate IT Audit's strategic and operational plans, ensuring alignment with WTCO's vision and objectives.
• Manage the IT Audit budget, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and performance improvement.
• Fulfill ESG responsibilities and requirements in line with company strategy.
• Set IT Audit KPIs and monitor progress towards strategic objectives.
• Identify competency and talent needs within IT Audit and provide human resources recommendations.
• Prepare timely and accurate IT Audit reports, meeting quality standards.
• Oversee the execution of audits according to the annual internal audit plan and international standards.
• Participate in developing the "Audit Universe" to define auditable units and improve operational efficiency.
• Review internal audit checks and engagements to assess compliance and investigate irregularities.
• Guide the development of audit procedures, tools, checklists, and forms.
• Ensure clear communication of audit programs, scope, objectives, and key areas to auditors.
• Monitor audit risk assessment and the development of audit priorities.
• Conduct complex internal audit engagements for critical IT activities.
• Ensure departmental readiness for external audits and follow up on findings.
• Review draft audit reports for appropriate disposition of findings.
• Consolidate audit reports into quarterly or annual summaries, including findings and action plans.
• Approve reports and presentations related to IT Audit Department activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in IT audit or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement IT audit programs.
• Strong understanding of international standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
• Experience in identifying and capitalizing on opportunities for continuous improvement.

Key Relationships

The IT Audit Manager will engage with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective audit operations and compliance.

• Internal Stakeholders: All Departments within the Water Transmission Company.
• External Stakeholders: Audit Committee, Board of Directors, Nazaha, General Bureau for Auditing, and External Auditors.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and standards within WTCO and related functions such as HC, HSSE, Risk, and Cybersecurity.
