About the Lead MEP Site Engineer Role

GE Vernova is seeking a Lead MEP Site Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to managing and coordinating all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) construction and installation activities across company projects, including Substations, HVDC, SVC, and STATCOM. The position primarily focuses on the Order-to-Remittance (OTR) phase, with participation in the Inquiry-to-Order (ITO) phase as required.

Core Responsibilities

• Actively manage Site MEP construction, testing, and commissioning activities, covering HVAC, Fire Fighting/Fire Alarm (FF/FA), Security, Plumbing, and other related systems during the OTR phase.
• Control subcontractor progress and oversee the planning and allocation of Site resources.
• Supervise and inspect MEP works execution, ensuring adherence to Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements.
• Perform MEP item quantity surveying (QS)/take-off and validate invoices.
• Drive customer satisfaction through a commitment to quality standards.

Project Coordination and Reporting

• Liaise with various project stakeholders, including the Client, Site Consultant, Project Management, Civil Works, CW/MEP Engineering, EHS, and Quality teams.
• Prepare and timely provide accurate internal and external Site Reports and documentation, such as Daily, Bi-Weekly, Monthly, 3-week lookahead, Incidents, Permit-to-Work (PTW), and QA/QC reports.
• Attend technical and progress meetings both internally and with customers.
• Support business growth initiatives as needed.

Compliance and Technical Expertise

• Ensure all in-Site activities are carried out safely and comply with company environmental, health, and safety (EHS) guidelines and procedures.
• Understand and ensure adherence to contractual Terms and Conditions (T&C) commitments and obligations.
• Utilize and continuously develop in-depth knowledge of MEP technical aspects to execute construction strategies effectively.
• Provide expert consultation on complex projects and contribute to planning and recommending policies and procedures.

Required Experience and Skills

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in MEP site engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to apply prior experience and acquire technical expertise for construction strategy execution.
• Strong understanding of key business drivers relevant to estimation and execution works.
• In-depth knowledge of scope identification, specification, and claims analysis.

Work Environment and Expectations

This role requires flexibility and a willingness to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as dictated by Site assignments and project demands. The successful candidate must also be prepared for travel, potential relocation within the country, and worldwide, to meet project requirements.
