The Opportunity

AlixPartners is seeking a People Operations & Strategic Resource Management Senior Specialist to join its Riyadh office. This full-time, hybrid role supports the growing Middle East business, spanning two specialist functions across Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience, with a strong background in People Operations and a keen interest in developing Strategic Resource Management capabilities.

People Operations Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle across Saudi Arabia and the UAE, including onboarding, employment changes, and offboarding.
  • Prepare and administer contracts, amendments, probation, and employee records in line with local legislation.
  • Manage Saudi immigration (Qiwa, work visas, Iqamas, sponsorship transfers, Exit/Re-Entry, Final Exit, Absher) and UAE (DIFC) administration (employment visas, Emirates ID, medicals, documentation).
  • Coordinate payroll inputs and administer benefits (medical insurance, leave, DEWS, End of Service Benefits).
  • Monitor Saudi Labour Law and DIFC Employment Law compliance, maintaining accurate People systems and data.
  • Coordinate background screening, vendors, and invoicing, and identify process and technology improvements.
  • Maintain People systems and employee data, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve People processes, systems, and employee experience through continuous improvement and technology.

Strategic Resource Management Responsibilities

  • Coordinate consultant availability, project assignments, and resource requests across the Middle East.
  • Match consultants to engagements based on skills, availability, development goals, and business priorities.
  • Track staffing changes, roll-offs, and upcoming requirements to ensure engagement continuity.
  • Maintain accurate availability and utilisation data, preparing capacity and availability reporting for Resource Managers and leadership.
  • Support staffing discussions with Practice Leaders and PMDs, and act as a key point of contact for SRM queries.
  • Support the testing and continuous improvement of SRM tools and processes, flagging resource risks and conflicts with supporting data.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess strong People Operations expertise with recent Saudi experience and deep knowledge of Saudi labour law, immigration, and employee lifecycle processes. While prior SRM experience is advantageous, it is not essential. Requirements include:

  • Current experience supporting employees in Saudi Arabia.
  • Valid Saudi residency, or the ability to obtain it (administrative support by AlixPartners provided).
  • Willingness to work outside normal business hours as business needs arise.
  • Commitment to AlixPartners’ Core Values as defined by the Code of Conduct, fostering an inclusive environment.
  • Experience in consulting, professional services, or another international organisation (advantageous).
  • Previous exposure to Strategic Resource Management or workforce planning (advantageous).
  • Experience leveraging AI or automation to improve operational efficiency (advantageous).
