About the Role: Sr. Consultant Functional MDG

Alfanar is seeking a Sr. Consultant Functional MDG to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to ensuring an effective Master Data Governance (MDG) product that supports Alfanar’s global data strategy. The consultant will be responsible for maintaining high-quality, compliant, and well-integrated master data across systems, enabling consistent, secure, and reliable data for enterprise operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the product roadmap for enterprise data governance tools, including Pilog and SAP MDG, aligning with global data strategy and business objectives.
• Own the end-to-end MDG product lifecycle, implementing governance rules, workflows, validations, and controls based on business owner decisions.
• Oversee integration with SAP S/4HANA, Data Dictionary, APIs, data services, and legacy systems, ensuring compatibility across the Alfanar ecosystem.
• Recommend and implement data profiling, cleansing, and enrichment initiatives upon business owner approval, partnering with data stewards to maintain high-quality master data and qualify the dictionary.
• Define global data migration strategy, mapping rules, and transformation logic, overseeing cutover and mock tests for global rollouts.
• Act as a liaison between business, IT, and data teams, collecting requirements, managing and executing the backlog, and prioritizing features.
• Ensure adherence to GDPR, SOX, internal policies, and data governance frameworks such as ISO/DAMA.
• Manage the MDG product lifecycle, delivering features, enhancements, and integrations on time, and ensuring continuous improvements and innovation.

• Obtain and maintain updated soft and technical skills relevant to the job.
• Perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets according to delivery schedules, utilizing resources effectively within cost and time constraints.
• Provide periodic reports detailing deviations and execution of planned tasks.
• Solve arising problems and escalate complex operational issues as needed.
• Ensure quality requirements are met to develop effective quality control and processes, including specifications for products or related activities.
• Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, seeking automation opportunities.
• Comply with all related policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within the defined area of work.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in Master Data Governance (MDG) product lifecycle management.
• Experience with enterprise data governance tools such as Pilog and SAP MDG.
• Proficiency in data integration with systems like SAP S/4HANA, Data Dictionary, APIs, and legacy systems.
• Understanding of data quality, cleansing, and enrichment methodologies.
• Familiarity with global data migration strategies and execution.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks (ISO/DAMA) and compliance standards (GDPR, SOX).
