About the Role

Red Sea Global is seeking a Senior Manager - Planning and Control to join Botanica, a subsidiary specializing in sustainable greenery across Red Sea Global’s destinations. This full-time role, based in Umluj, acts as the Operational General Manager's central point of control for planning, performance, and transformation. The Senior Manager will own the integrated business plan, operational planning cycle, KPI scorecard, business unit performance reviews, cost and variance control, risk register, and the portfolio of strategic initiatives aimed at growing Botanica's revenue streams and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the annual business plan and budget calendar with Finance and all departments, consolidating an integrated plan based on figures.
  • Maintain the financial and operational planning assumptions register and its version history.
  • Manage the portfolio of strategic initiatives (new revenue streams, capacity expansion, new client segments, digital and process improvement) with clear governance, schedules, and stage gates.
  • Prepare and challenge business cases with Finance, tracking benefits post-implementation.
  • Maintain decision and action logs for the leadership team and escalate potential delays.
  • Conduct monthly business unit reviews covering revenue, margin, cost, productivity, and service KPIs for each revenue stream.
  • Identify under-performing streams or contracts and drive agreed recovery actions.
  • Lead the monthly sales and operations planning (S&OP) cycle, encompassing demand, supply, capacity, cost, and cash.
  • Oversee capacity, manpower, and logistics/dispatch planning to align resources with commitments.
  • Design the KPI framework and cascade it from Botanica level to departments and sections.
  • Produce monthly performance packs and dashboards, facilitating monthly performance reviews chaired by the Operational General Manager.
  • Own the productivity measurement methodology to ensure consistent and auditable figures.
  • Collaborate with Finance to track actual vs. plan by cost center and contract, analyzing variances to root cause and tracking corrective actions.
  • Maintain cost-to-complete and contract profitability forecasts for major contracts and initiatives.
  • Maintain the Botanica risk register and RAID log (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies) with named owners and mitigations.
  • Prepare board papers and GCEO presentation packs, ensuring all figures are tied to confirmed data sources.
  • Manage the initiative and capital expenditure portfolio, including business cases, stage gates, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Lead the Planning & Performance and Control sections, building planning, data, and project-control capabilities.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant Botanica and RSG Group policies, delegation of authority (DoA), processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions.
  • Apply and champion the safety, quality, and environmental management system (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and the compliance management system (ISO 37301).
  • Identify and lead opportunities for continuous improvement in departmental systems, processes, and practices, focusing on cost reduction, productivity, and client value.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage integrated business plans and operational cycles.
  • Experience in KPI framework design and performance management.
  • Proficiency in cost control, variance analysis, and risk management.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in building team capabilities.

Work Environment

This role is central to a business with multiple revenue streams and business units that share resources including people, land, water, and equipment. A primary challenge involves maintaining a single, consistent version of truth across plans, financial models, and presentations, ensuring reconciliation to confirmed data sources such as manpower costs, store inventory, contracts registers, landscape summaries, and approved board submissions. The role requires the ability to identify and address conflicting data sources rather than overlooking them.

Why Join Red Sea Global?

  • Contribute to large-scale sustainability projects focused on transforming landscapes and preserving biodiversity.
  • Work alongside industry experts in a dynamic and evolving environment.
  • Be part of a company that is influencing the future of sustainable tourism and development globally.
  • Engage in world-class projects located in natural settings.
