Chief Accountant

About the Role

Radian Engineering Consulting Company is seeking a Chief Accountant to join their team in Buraydah, Al Qasim. This full-time role requires strong practical accounting experience and the ability to manage daily accounting operations, supervise the accounting team, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records while complying with approved accounting policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Directly supervise daily accounting operations and monitor the performance of the accounting team.
• Review daily entries to ensure the correctness of accounting direction and supporting documents.
• Prepare trial balances and periodic accounting reports.
• Implement and monitor monthly and annual closings, and prepare necessary adjustments.
• Review bank reconciliations and regularly match account balances.
• Follow up on customer and supplier accounts, debtors, creditors, and the aging of debts.
• Follow up on accounts related to projects and contracts, including revenues, costs, extracts, advance payments, and accruals.
• Prepare and review VAT and withholding tax declarations, and Zakat requirements in coordination with the Financial Manager.
• Follow up on fixed assets, depreciation, provisions, accrued expenses, and prepaid expenses.
• Prepare external audit requirements and coordinate with the legal accountant.
• Ensure the application of approved accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Process accounting differences and errors, and follow up on their correction.
• Prepare and submit periodic accounting reports to the Financial Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of practical accounting experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage daily accounting operations effectively.
• Proven experience in supervising an accounting team.
• Strong understanding of financial record accuracy and integrity.
• Familiarity with approved accounting policies and standards.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Buraydah, Al Qasim, within Radian Engineering Consulting Company. The role involves working closely with the accounting team and the Financial Manager.
