About the Role: Chef De Partie

Shangri-La Hotel in Jeddah is seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef De Partie to join its culinary team. This full-time position involves upholding the highest standards of food preparation and service within the kitchen operations, specifically focusing on dessert production.

Role Purpose

The Chef De Partie will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of all dessert food preparation and service in their respective kitchens. This role requires strict adherence to the standards set by management and a commitment to reflecting the Shangri-La Philosophy through service excellence and positive team dynamics.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide the highest quality of service to customers and employees, consistently adopting a positive attitude and maintaining a high level of team spirit.
• Coordinate specific duties related to Restaurant, Banquet, and general food production among employees under supervision.
• Continuously monitor and ensure the freshness, presentation, and correct temperature of all food served.
• Ensure proper control over food portioning, serving requisitions, and receiving processes from stores.
• Manage correct timing during service to ensure food is consistently delivered at the highest standards.
• Regularly check the quality of prepared food, focusing on taste and temperature.
• Ensure a uniform visual appearance for all dishes prepared, with presentation and garnish adhering to established standards.
• Monitor and fully implement portion control established with recipe cards and butcher tests to minimize waste and spoilage.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar capacity within a professional culinary environment.
• Strong proficiency in English communication skills.
