Afaq Express Cargo is a logistics company operating within the Makkah region, serving key cities including Jeddah and Makkah. We are currently seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Customs Clearance Representative.

Position Summary

The Customs Clearance Representative is responsible for the comprehensive management and completion of all customs clearance procedures for shipments. This role ensures strict compliance with Saudi customs regulations, facilitates timely processing, and maintains smooth coordination among customers, customs authorities, ports, transport teams, and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle customs clearance processes for both import and export shipments.
• Prepare, review, and submit essential customs documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates, and permits.
• Submit declarations through official customs platforms such as FASAH and ZATCA systems.
• Coordinate effectively with customs authorities, port operators, and relevant government agencies to ensure seamless clearance.
• Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve any clearance issues or delays that may arise.
• Verify HS codes, customs requirements, applicable duties, and overall regulatory compliance.
• Arrange necessary inspections, examinations, and approvals as required by regulations.
• Coordinate with transport teams for cargo release and subsequent delivery arrangements.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of all customs documents and clearance files.
• Provide customers with regular and timely updates regarding their shipment clearance status.
• Ensure continuous compliance with company procedures, customs regulations, and operational standards.
• Support in solving operational issues and escalate critical matters to management when necessary.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of previous experience in customs clearance or logistics operations.
• Good knowledge of Saudi Customs regulations and import/export procedures.
• Demonstrated experience with FASAH and other customs declaration systems.
• Familiarity with shipping documents and freight forwarding processes.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple shipments concurrently.
• A valid customs clearance license (if applicable) is preferred.

Work Details

This is a full-time position within Afaq Express Cargo, operating in the Makkah region and covering operations in Jeddah and Makkah.
