The Role: System Engineer, Jeddah

Siemens is seeking a System Engineer to join the Smart Infrastructure Electrification and Automation team in Jeddah. This is a full-time position suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience.

The System Engineer is responsible for developing, coordinating, and integrating system design and software engineering activities. This role ensures that project requirements are effectively translated into technical solutions, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to define system architecture, develop design documentation, support software implementation, and ensure compliance with project, quality, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze customer and project requirements to translate them into system specifications and design requirements.
• Develop and maintain system architecture, functional specifications, interface definitions, and design documentation.
• Coordinate design activities across hardware, software, and engineering disciplines to ensure seamless system integration.
• Support software development activities, including requirements definition, design reviews, validation, and testing.
• Collaborate with software engineers to ensure system functionality, performance, reliability, and cybersecurity requirements are met.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, design reports, engineering calculations, and configuration records.
• Participate in system testing, factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and commissioning activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to system design and software functionality.
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, company procedures, and project requirements.
• Support project execution by providing technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices.
