About the Demand Forecast Analyst Role

Almarai is seeking a Demand Forecast Analyst to join its team in Makkah, with potential work across King Abdullah Economic City and Rabigh. This full-time position is central to ensuring the accurate preparation of demand forecasts for the Seafood Business, with a continuous focus on improving accuracy levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure demand planners maintain the IBP system with clean, up-to-date data.
• Reconcile all SKUs weekly by depot and accurately set up new SKUs.
• Immediately reflect any changes in product or geographic hierarchy within the system.
• Accurately capture both future and past events within the IBP system.
• Update rolling 18-month forecasts on a weekly-monthly basis, broken down by week, depot, and SKU.
• Submit and ensure the incorporation of regional/local level events into the forecast through bottom-up forecasting.

Forecasting Process and Tools

The role involves considering a comprehensive range of factors to achieve forecast accuracy. These include historical sales patterns, market trends, seasonality, past and future events (such as sales and marketing plans), prevailing economic conditions, weather patterns, government regulations, and competitive activities. All forecasting activities are supported by the PROCAST system, a specialized forecasting software.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 2 to 5 years of experience in a demand forecasting or analytical role. Familiarity with forecasting software, particularly the PROCAST system, is essential for this position.
