The Role of EPMS Engineer

Air Products is seeking an EPMS Engineer to join its team in Duba and Tabuk. This full-time role is central to ensuring the full functionality and compliance of the Electrical Power Management System (EPMS) for final handover. The EPMS Engineer drives the resolution and closeout of all outstanding technical, functional, integration, testing, and commissioning issues related to the EPMS.

Issue Management and Technical Support

  • Review, prioritize, and manage all EPMS punch list items and outstanding actions.
  • Maintain a comprehensive EPMS issue tracker, including owners, target dates, and status updates.
  • Investigate technical issues, determine root causes, and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Provide technical expertise on EPMS architecture, hardware, software, networking, and system integration.
  • Review configuration settings, alarms, events, reports, dashboards, and monitoring functions.
  • Support troubleshooting of communication issues between EPMS and integrated systems such as SCADA, DCS, PLCs, protection relays, and meters.

Testing, Verification, and Coordination

  • Develop and execute test procedures for issue verification and closeout.
  • Witness and document retesting activities following corrective actions.
  • Ensure all functional, integration, and reliability tests are successfully completed.
  • Support Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, and performance testing activities.
  • Interface with EPMS suppliers, system integrators, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractors.
  • Monitor vendor action items and ensure timely resolution of defects.
  • Review and approve technical submissions, software revisions, and configuration changes.
  • Facilitate technical meetings to drive issue resolution.

Documentation, Handover, and Reporting

  • Ensure all as-built documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Review operating procedures, maintenance manuals, and user guides.
  • Verify closure of all comments from Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), SAT, commissioning, and operational readiness reviews.
  • Support final handover to operations and maintenance teams.
  • Provide regular status reports on outstanding issues, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Highlight critical path items affecting project completion.
  • Escalate unresolved technical issues to project management when required.

Required Experience

Candidates for the EPMS Engineer position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in EPMS implementation, commissioning, and issue resolution within industrial environments.
