Role Overview

Ma'aden is seeking a Specialist, FM QHSE III to join its team in Turaif. This full-time role is responsible for driving the effective implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) requirements across Facility Management operations. The specialist strengthens safe, compliant, and reliable service delivery across a broad range of activities, including soft and hard services, contractor management, accommodation, offices, workshops, utilities, and transportation interfaces. This role improves QHSE performance through inspections, audits, hazard identification, risk assessments, incident investigations, awareness delivery, reporting, and corrective action closure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement QHSE requirements across Facility Management activities and contractor-controlled work areas.
  • Monitor various operations such as cleaning, catering, pest control, landscaping, waste management, maintenance support, accommodation, and office activities.
  • Conduct site inspections, behavioral observations, hygiene checks, and facility walkthroughs to identify QHSE gaps, unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, quality defects, environmental issues, and procedural non-compliance.
  • Strengthen operational safety through risk assessments, job safety analyses, and method statement reviews, including reviewing permit-to-work controls.
  • Monitor contractor compliance with QHSE obligations, personal protective equipment (PPE) use, equipment condition, and manpower discipline.
  • Track housekeeping, waste segregation, chemical handling, food safety, and accommodation standards.
  • Communicate company policies, QHSE procedures, contractual requirements, and regulatory obligations, recommending practical updates to procedures and control measures.
  • Participate in investigations for incidents, near-misses, property damage, service failures, and customer complaints, identifying root causes and recommending corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support internal and external audits across quality, safety, environment, and contractor performance, tracking findings and driving effective closure.
  • Maintain QHSE records, inspection reports, audit findings, action trackers, and training attendance.
  • Prepare incident statistics, performance dashboards, and Facility Management QHSE reports, analyzing data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Deliver QHSE inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for employees and contractors, promoting safe work practices, emergency procedures, environmental protection, and quality expectations.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, maintaining readiness for evacuations, spill response, first aid, and emergency communication, and participating in emergency response as required.
  • Promote proactive QHSE ownership, encouraging hazard reporting, lessons learned, continuous improvement, and high-quality service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Quality Management, Facilities Management, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certifications in QHSE, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent are preferred.

Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in QHSE, safety, quality, or environmental roles.
  • Prior experience in Facility Management, industrial services, accommodation, utilities, remote site operations, mining, oil and gas, or chemicals is preferred.

This is a full-time position based in Turaif.
