About the Role

BON Cafe - Modern BON Co is seeking a highly experienced Barista to join their team in Makkah and Jeddah. This full-time role requires a professional with over 10 years of experience in preparing and serving a variety of beverages and food items, ensuring high standards of quality and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a diverse range of hot and cold beverages and food items.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, utensils, equipment, and the external branch surroundings.
• Greet and welcome customers warmly.
• Describe menu items to customers and recommend products that may appeal to them.
• Handle and process cash and credit card payments accurately.
• Request, receive, and store products and materials.
• Verify and review inventory of food items, tools, and preparation equipment.
• Check the expiration dates of food products.
• Organize, arrange, and restock displayed products according to the FIFO system.
• Verify product quality before serving to customers.
• Check the temperature of refrigerators and heating equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Conduct regular reviews of appliances and equipment, reporting any maintenance needs.
• Apply health and safety regulations diligently.

Customer and Communication

• Demonstrate the ability to interact and communicate effectively with diverse personalities.
• Convey customer feedback to managers and provide recommendations for improving food and beverage menus.

Operational Skills

• Proficiency in accounting and accuracy in preparing invoices.
• Ability to work in different shifts as required.
• Willingness to travel between branches as per company needs.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by management.
• Work at any branch requiring support or experiencing staff shortages, based on business needs and management directives.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in the Makkah region, specifically in Jeddah and Makkah cities. The role requires flexibility to work across different shifts and branches as operational needs dictate.
