About Rotana Hotels and the Role

Rotana Hotels is seeking a Saudi National A/C Technician to join its team. This full-time position is based in Mecca, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and is responsible for the installation, service, and repair of temperature and air quality control systems throughout the hotel. The role requires 0-1 years of experience and contributes to maintaining high standards of guest comfort through diligent maintenance operations.

Core Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, and provide technical attention to all electrical and mechanical refrigeration systems within the hotel, including freezers, fridges, ice makers, fan coil units, and chillers.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Monitor the performance of refrigeration systems and their components.
• Verify the functionality of all door closing systems on walk-in coolers and freezers, including door gaskets and latches.
• Inspect and maintain all defrosting systems and the automation of ice makers.
• Address maintenance requests received from various hotel departments.
• Ensure routine cleaning of fan coil units and air-handling unit filters.
• Check the performance of air-conditioning and chill water systems.
• Collaborate with engineering colleagues to identify failures in air-conditioning and refrigeration systems and assist with function setup.
• Maintain strict control over the venting of CFCs to the atmosphere.
• Conduct overhauling of air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment and systems.
• Monitor refrigeration and oil levels and oversee major repairs.
• Cooperate and communicate with the Engineering Storekeeper regarding the purchase of necessary parts.
• Execute all tasks in compliance with country technical regulations and safety standards.
