About the Opportunity

Rotana Jabal Omar Makkah is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Kitchen professional to join our team as a Commis I in Makkah. This full-time role is essential for maintaining the high standards of food preparation and service within our kitchen operations.

Role Overview

As a Commis I, you will be responsible for daily food preparation and executing assigned duties to meet established quality and operational standards. This position requires a commitment to delivering consistent quality and supporting the culinary team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations and tasks.
• Prepare food items according to menu specifications provided by the Chef de Partie.
• Maintain the work area in hygienic conditions, adhering to hotel standards and regulations.
• Monitor food stock levels and contribute to food cost control within your assigned section.
• Execute daily mis-en-place and food production across various sections of the main kitchen or satellite kitchens.
• Follow instructions and recommendations from immediate superiors to complete daily tasks efficiently.
• Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in daily food preparation, staying informed about new products, recipes, and preparation techniques.
• Coordinate and participate with other sections regarding requirements, cleanliness, waste management, and cost control initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 0-1 year of experience in a kitchen professional role.
• Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of food hygiene and quality.
