About the Role

Nahdi Medical Co. is seeking a Dentist GP Assistant to join their team in Makkah, Makkah Region. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience and involves providing comprehensive chairside assistance to general or specialist dentists during clinical and surgical dental procedures, as well as performing essential clinical supportive functions.

Key Responsibilities

Assist dentists in diagnostic, operative, surgical, periodontal, preventive, orthodontic, prosthodontic, endodontic, or pedodontic procedures during patient examinations and treatments.
Perform clinical functions including patient preparation and dismissal, point-of-use cleaning of instruments, equipment disinfection, providing post-operative instructions as prescribed by the dentist, maintaining supply orders, and managing applicable records.
Participate in patient examinations and treatments by retracting cheeks and tissues, and by irrigating and aspirating mouth fluids safely.
Anticipate the dentist's needs and practice four-handed dentistry to ensure efficient operative procedures for patients or as part of a dental surgical operating team.
Execute expanded duty procedures under the direct supervision of the dentist as required.
Review patient medical histories, alert the dentist to significant issues, assist in updating patient histories, and flag charts to note critical problems.
Accurately chart findings of the patient's oral conditions as reported by the dentist and record treatments rendered in the patient's permanent chart.
Maintain and periodically review skills in First Aid and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation, managing medical emergencies until the dentist arrives or assisting the dentist in providing emergency first aid until additional medical help is available.
Instruct patients in post-operative home care procedures as directed by the dentist.
Perform other related duties as requested by the manager based on business needs.

Experience and Qualifications

A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience is required for this position.

Work Environment

The role is primarily based indoors (100%), with no outdoor work required.

Work Schedule

The work schedule consists of 6 working days per week, with 1 day off. Daily working hours are 8 net hours, structured according to a shift schedule approved by the head of the department.
