About the IT Security Engineer Role

MDS for Computer Systems (MDS CS) is seeking an experienced IT Security Engineer to join their team in Makkah. This full-time position requires a professional dedicated to designing, implementing, and enforcing robust security policies and protocols to safeguard the organization's computing infrastructure against all forms of threats. The role involves providing advanced solutions for cyber threats and contributing to strategies that protect the network from breaches.

Key Responsibilities

The IT Security Engineer will be responsible for a range of critical security functions, including:

• Designing, building, and enforcing policies and protocols to protect the organization’s computing infrastructure.
• Developing and implementing advanced solutions for cyber threats and network breach prevention strategies.
• Configuring, managing, and troubleshooting firewalls, including expertise with solutions like Fortinet.
• Managing Web Application Firewalls (WAF) to protect web applications from attacks, such as Forti WAF.
• Administering enterprise-grade antivirus and endpoint protection solutions.
• Configuring, maintaining, and operating email security gateways, including solutions like FortiMail.
• Implementing and supporting Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) frameworks.
• Deploying and integrating Network Access Control (NAC) solutions.
• Administering centralized authentication systems, such as TACACS+ and RADIUS.
• Applying advanced knowledge of intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
• Conducting security audits, vulnerability assessments, and compliance reporting.
• Working with cloud networking services, including VPN gateways, virtual network peering, and cloud firewalls.
• Preparing and maintaining technical documentation, such as architecture diagrams and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications

Candidates for this role must meet the following educational and experience criteria:

• A Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Engineering (CE), Computer Information Systems (CIS), or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in a technical support or security-focused role.
• At least 5-10 years of overall experience in IT security.

Technical Expertise

The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical skills and expertise in the following areas:

• Advanced expertise in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting firewalls.
• Proficiency in managing Web Application Firewalls (WAF).
• Experience with enterprise-grade antivirus and endpoint protection solutions.
• Skills in administering email security gateways.
• Experience with Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and Network Access Control (NAC) implementation.
• Administration of centralized authentication systems.
• In-depth knowledge of intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
• Proficiency in cloud networking services.
