Laboratory Registrar (Clinical Pathology)

About the Role

Nahdi Medical Co. is seeking a Laboratory Registrar (Clinical Pathology) to join their team in Makkah. This full-time position is responsible for the overall supervision and administration of the laboratory, ensuring its efficient operation, adherence to safety standards, and quality control processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviewing quality control for all laboratory procedures.
• Following up on daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance of all laboratory equipment and facilities.
• Revising and signing laboratory tests, providing comments, and writing recommendations for further investigations for patients as needed.
• Checking laboratory inventory, preparing purchasing orders, and following up on the delivery of all laboratory requirements.
• Preparing unit budgets, accountability reports, operating and business plans, and interacting with administrative and medical personnel regarding inter-functional aspects (*, supplies, equipment, in-service training, cost analysis).
• Ensuring the perfect implementation of physical, chemical, and biological safety policies and procedures.
• Maintaining physical and environmental health conditions within the laboratory.
• Consulting with other physicians in clinics and the ER by phone to report high-risk laboratory results for emergency actions.
• Supervising high-complexity tests performed by personnel.
• Managing training programs and continuous medical education for all laboratory staff.
• Implementing proficiency testing programs and taking corrective actions when necessary.
• Conducting annual personnel performance evaluations and documentation.
• Ensuring a mechanism for the resolution of any complaints against the laboratory from staff, the public, or clients.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 year of relevant experience is required for this position.

Work Environment

This role operates entirely indoors, with 100% of working hours spent within the laboratory environment. The work schedule consists of 6 working days per week, with 1 day off. Daily working hours are 8 net hours, structured according to a shift schedule approved by the head of the department.
