The Role: Linux Administrator L1/L2

Excis Compliance is seeking a Linux Administrator L1/L2 for a contract position in Makkah, covering Jeddah and Makkah. This role involves supporting the administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of enterprise Linux environments. The administrator will provide operational support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments, including system installation, configuration, troubleshooting, security, virtualization, storage, backup, and automation. The position requires 5-10 years of experience and strong technical troubleshooting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and management.
• Monitor system health, availability, and performance, performing routine system administration tasks.
• Diagnose and resolve complex Linux issues, including performance problems and hardware failures, escalating incidents as needed.
• Support and troubleshoot advanced Linux services such as DNS, DHCP, and LDAP.
• Create and maintain shell scripts and Ansible automation for system administration and repetitive operational tasks.
• Support Linux workloads on VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift environments.
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux storage solutions, including LVM and RAID configurations.
• Apply Linux security best practices, supporting firewall, encryption, and access control configurations.
• Support Linux backup and disaster recovery solutions, participating in recovery activities.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, troubleshoot resolutions, and operational procedures.
• Work assigned shifts to provide continuous operational support and respond to system incidents.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in Linux administration.
• Strong technical troubleshooting capabilities and ability to resolve system issues.
• Hands-on experience with Linux services, VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, LVM, and RAID.
• Proficiency in automation technologies, including shell scripting and Ansible.
• Knowledge of Linux security best practices, firewalls, encryption, and access controls.
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions for Linux environments.
