We are currently recruiting on behalf of a prominent partner in the insurance sector, based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This partner is seeking an experienced audit leader to join their team.

The Role: Head of Audit Insurance

The Head of Audit Insurance will lead the internal audit function for our partner company. This full-time role is central to the organization's commitment to robust governance and ongoing organizational development, providing independent assurance on internal controls and business processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the internal audit department, ensuring effective governance, risk management, and control frameworks.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive, risk-based internal audit plan in alignment with SAMA regulatory requirements and corporate strategy.
• Provide independent assurance to the Audit Committee and senior management regarding the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and business processes.
• Manage, mentor, and develop the internal audit team to deliver high-quality, value-added audit engagements.
• Review financial, operational, compliance, and IT processes to identify risks, control weaknesses, and improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate with external auditors, regulators, and other assurance providers to ensure audit efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
• Report findings and recommendations to executive management and the Audit Committee, driving timely implementation of corrective actions.
• Stay informed on emerging risks, regulatory changes, and best practices within the insurance and financial services industries.
• Foster a culture of integrity, transparency, and accountability across all business units.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess 5 to 10 years of experience in audit leadership, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector. A strong understanding of regulatory requirements, particularly SAMA, is essential. This role requires proven leadership capabilities to manage and develop an audit team, alongside a commitment to upholding strong governance principles.

This is a full-time position based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The role operates within a dynamic environment focused on maintaining high standards of internal control and risk management.
