About the Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Civil/Structural Inspector to join its team in Al Khobar, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position operates on a night shift schedule and is focused on a resort and hotel project. The primary objective of this role is to ensure the quality, safety, and compliance of all civil and structural construction activities conducted during night operations. The inspector will be responsible for upholding project standards and specifications to contribute to the successful delivery of a hospitality development.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct nightly site inspections of civil and structural works to ensure strict compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and established project standards.
• Monitor ongoing night-shift construction activities, including concrete works, formwork, reinforcement placement, finishing, and structural modifications, to ensure high standards of quality and workmanship.
• Verify that only approved materials are utilized on-site and that installation methods adhere to both project and industry best practices.
• Check the dimensional accuracy, levels, and alignment of all structural elements, documenting any non-conformances and following up on corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive night-shift inspection records, including daily reports, checklists, photographic evidence, and as-built documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors, site engineers, and other project stakeholders during night operations to resolve technical issues and clarify inspection findings.
• Ensure adherence to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements and promote safe working practices during night operations, reporting any unsafe conditions.
• Support the consistent implementation of project quality control procedures and contribute to the improvement of inspection and reporting practices.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience as a Civil/Structural Inspector, with a significant focus on building or hospitality projects such as resorts or hotels.
• The ability to read, interpret, and understand structural drawings, civil layouts, detailed drawings, and construction specifications.
• A solid understanding of construction sequences, materials, and methods pertinent to reinforced concrete, structural steel, and architectural interfaces.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and common document and reporting tools.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to prepare clear inspection reports and logs.
