Project Engineer

About the Role

Abdullah A. Al-Barrak & Son Co. is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team in Al Khobar, Eastern Region. This full-time position involves supporting project execution by managing technical documentation, coordinating engineering deliverables, and ensuring construction activities align with design and specifications.

Role Summary

The Project Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the technical integrity and smooth progression of projects. This involves active coordination between various stakeholders, meticulous document control, and proactive resolution of technical challenges from design through to handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and manage engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents.
• Coordinate technical queries (TQs) among the site team, engineering department, and the client.
• Track and control document submittals and approvals, including transmittals and Master Document Registers (MDRs).
• Provide technical input for procurement activities and support material take-offs.
• Assist in constructability reviews and facilitate the resolution of design and field conflicts.
• Liaise with the Quality Control team to ensure technical compliance of installed works.
• Support the preparation of method statements and inspection/test plans.
• Communicate with engineering, planning, and construction teams on all technical matters.
• Track technical punch-list items to ensure their timely closure.
• Support the preparation of as-built drawings and final documentation handover.
• Assist the Project Manager with technical reporting and presentations.
• Provide essential technical support during commissioning and handover activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in project engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to manage technical documentation and coordinate engineering deliverables effectively.
• Experience in resolving technical queries and ensuring alignment between design and construction.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Al Khobar, within the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia. The role requires collaboration with various internal teams and external clients to achieve project objectives.
