About the A/C Technician Role

Dana Rayhaan by Rotana in Dammam is seeking a dedicated A/C Technician to join its full-time maintenance team. This position is open to professionals with 0-1 years of experience who are committed to maintaining optimal temperature and air quality control systems within the hotel premises.

Role Purpose and Contribution

The A/C Technician is primarily responsible for the installation, servicing, and repair of all temperature and air quality control systems. This role is integral to ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of guests by maintaining the efficient operation of critical hotel infrastructure and providing effective solutions to maintenance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, and provide technical attention to all electrical and mechanical refrigeration systems, including freezers, fridges, ice makers, fan coil units, and chillers.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all air-conditioning and refrigeration systems throughout the hotel.
• Address maintenance requests from all departments in a timely manner.
• Ensure routine cleaning of fan coil units and air-handling unit filters.
• Cooperate with engineering colleagues in detecting failures of air-condition and refrigeration systems and during function setup.
• Liaise with and inform the Engineering Storekeeper regarding the purchase of necessary parts and equipment.

Technical Operations and System Management

• Check the performance of refrigeration systems and their components regularly.
• Verify the functionality of all door closing systems on walk-in coolers/freezers, including door gaskets and latches.
• Inspect and maintain all defrosting systems and the automation of ice makers.
• Monitor the performance of air-conditioning and chill water systems.
• Implement strict control measures on the venting of CFCs to the atmosphere.
• Conduct overhauling of air-condition and refrigeration equipment and systems as required.
• Check all refrigeration and oil levels and oversee major repairs.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 0-1 years of experience in a maintenance capacity, with a focus on air conditioning and refrigeration systems. A foundational understanding of electrical and mechanical refrigeration principles is essential.

Work Standards and Compliance

The A/C Technician is expected to perform all duties in full compliance with the country's technical regulations and established safety standards. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance and a commitment to upholding operational excellence within the hotel's engineering department.
