Freight forwarding Specialist

About the Role

PROVEN is seeking a Freight Forwarding Specialist for a full-time position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves managing the precise execution of shipments for a leading global logistics provider, ensuring efficient and reliable service delivery across air, sea, and land freight forwarding solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Export Operations: Arrange collections, request necessary documentation, book shipments with carriers/airlines, prepare export documentation (BL/AWB), coordinate with handling agents, manage customs clearance, resolve unforeseen export issues, send pre-alerts, invoice destination offices or customers, accrue relevant costs, manage vendor invoices, maintain vendor statements, monitor shipments, and provide delay updates.
• Import Operations: Receive inbound pre-alerts, schedule deliveries, coordinate with consignees for required information, manage inbound customs clearance, release BL, prepare documents and handover DO to customers, keep customers updated, obtain Proof of Delivery (POD), invoice origin offices or customers, accrue relevant costs, manage vendor invoices, and maintain vendor statements.
• General Responsibilities: Maintain accurate data in AS400, follow SOPs/IOPs and communicate processes with agents and vendors, monitor and manage KPIs, follow up on quotes and pricing requests, and identify potential business opportunities for sales.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline.
• Experience: 2-5 years of experience, with extensive knowledge of ocean and air import/export procedures. Prior experience in a freight forwarding company is mandatory.
