The Opportunity: Senior Planning Engineer

Egis (KSA) is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Planning Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient execution of construction projects through the development, maintenance, and optimization of project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using advanced planning software.
• Analyze project timelines, resources, and dependencies to identify potential bottlenecks and propose solutions.
• Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to gather accurate information for schedule updates.
• Monitor project progress and report variances between planned and actual performance.
• Prepare and present periodic progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting key milestones and potential risks.
• Conduct resource analysis and optimization to ensure efficient utilization of manpower and equipment.
• Assist in the development of recovery plans when projects fall behind schedule.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations in Saudi Arabia.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to decision-making processes.
• Maintain accurate records of all planning-related documents and revisions.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in planning engineering for mixed-use building developments.
• Proven track record of successful project delivery in large-scale construction projects.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• In-depth knowledge of mixed-use building development processes and regulations.
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Saudi Arabia.
