About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center (KFSH) in Riyadh is seeking a Senior Radiation Therapist for a full-time position. This role is central to the assigned section, involving the organization and support of all activities to ensure the highest professional and clinical standards are consistently met, in strict adherence to departmental procedures and hospital policies.

Operational Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient scheduling through liaison with Physicians, Medical Physicists, Supervisors, Head Nurse, and other Radiation Therapists.
• Manage and maintain all necessary supplies and materials for the section.
• Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly and that safety standards are upheld at all times.
• Optimize the utilization of equipment and maximize the efficient use of resources.
• Maintain effective and efficient communication channels among staff groups, both internal and external to the Department.
• Contribute to the departmental and Hospital Performance Improvement (PI) Plan.
• Evaluate quality assurance and quality control data, ensuring all required records are accurately maintained.

Clinical Practice and Professional Development

• Demonstrate advanced proficiency in treating or imaging a specialist workload of patients, including meticulous maintenance of relevant documents and e-charting.
• Rotate between various areas as an experienced practitioner.
• Assist with the training and orientation of new employees.
• Participate in departmental projects and teaching sessions.
• Enhance professional growth and development through continuing education.
• Participate in self and others’ education, training, and development initiatives as applicable.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Education: A Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• Experience (Grade 09): Two (2) years of related experience as a Radiation Therapist with a Master’s Degree, or four (4) years of related experience with a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Experience (Grade 10): Four (4) years of experience as a Senior Radiation Therapist at KFSH&RC, or equivalent related experience at the Grade 09 level.

Required Certifications and Licenses

• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Valid license and registration as a Radiation Therapist.
• Completion of fifty (50) hours of cumulative continued medical education (CME).

Performance Standards and Compliance

Candidates for Grade 10 must demonstrate an average annual performance appraisal of at least for the last four (4) years. All incumbents are expected to strictly follow all Hospital-related Policies and Procedures.
