Senior Specialist Commercial (Development Finance)

About the Role

Qiddiya is seeking a Senior Specialist Commercial (Development Finance) to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves supporting the financial and commercial evaluation of development projects through detailed financial analysis, feasibility assessments, and investment insights. The specialist will contribute to funding strategies, financial modeling, and project performance monitoring to inform development and investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models for development feasibility studies, investment evaluations, and business case preparation.
• Analyze project financial performance, budgets, forecasts, cash flows, funding requirements, and capital expenditure plans.
• Support financial due diligence, valuation exercises, scenario analysis, and sensitivity assessments for development initiatives.
• Assist in preparing investment memoranda, financial reports, executive presentations, and governance submissions.
• Monitor project costs, financial commitments, and expenditure trends to identify risks and opportunities.
• Support funding strategy assessments and coordinate financial information for financing activities and stakeholder reviews.
• Collaborate with Development, Commercial, Accounting, Treasury, Procurement, and Project Delivery teams to ensure financial alignment.
• Review financial assumptions, project inputs, and commercial data for accuracy and consistency across analyses.
• Support the evaluation of strategic partnerships, commercial proposals, and investment opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with financial governance requirements, organizational policies, and reporting standards.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives, reporting enhancements, and financial systems optimization.
• Provide technical and analytical support for ad hoc financial reviews, management requests, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, development finance, or a related commercial role. The role requires a strong understanding of financial modeling, feasibility assessments, and investment evaluation processes.

Internal Collaboration

The Senior Specialist will work closely with various internal teams, including the Development Finance Team, Development Teams, Commercial Teams, Accounting and Finance Teams, Treasury Team, Procurement Team, Project Delivery Teams, and Executive Stakeholders.

External Engagement

This role involves interaction with external parties such as Financial Advisors, Consultants, Banks and Financial Institutions, Investors, External Auditors, and Strategic Partners to support development finance objectives.
